  • ESG brings home ‘an Incovenient Truth’

The ESG is proud to announce the screening of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, a powerful and informative documentary about one of the most highly debated and often controversial topics of our time: global warming.

Described as ‘intellectually exhilarating’ by the New York Times, the film follows one man’s crusade to bring home the terrifying truth about global warming to ordinary people before it’s too late. The man is former Vice President Al Gore and the message is that global warming is an issue we can no longer afford to ignore. Combining hard science with Gore’s passion and drive, the film makes for compelling viewing.

The ESG believes that the film is an inspiring educational tool and that everyone should hear the stirring message that it delivers. Consequently the group is arranging 2 evening showings of the film as well as arranging for a free viewing for pupils at Westside and Bayside schools.

‘An Inconvenient Truth’ will be screened at 6.30pm and 9pm on WEDNESDAY 8TH NOVEMBER at the John Mackintosh Hall. Tickets are priced at £4 and will be available from The Nature Shop, 16B Casemates, as well as at the door. Organic popcorn and ethical drinks will be available on the night as well as free information leaflets on how to reduce your impact on the planet.

This event is being sponsored by Barclays Bank, BMI Group, BWin International Ltd, Castiel Winser, Charles Gomez & Co., Fabian Picardo, Lewis Stagnetto Ltd, Taylor Woodrow and TSN.
