  • REMOVAL OF SKID GENERATORS WELCOMED BY ESG 29.04.2026

The ESG has long been following air pollution issues in Gibraltar and therefore welcomes the removal today of multiple, skid generators positioned at the new Power Station at the North Mole. Burning diesel, as they do, has been costly, not only financially but in terms of pollution levels and climate targets.

It is a milestone and those associated in bringing this about must be congratulated for helping clean up our environment in the area, to the benefit of all who reside there.

    WORLD EARTH DAY 22.04.26

ESG and World Earth Day 2026

As World Earth Day arrives, we are reminded of our role in helping protect this beautiful planet we inhabit.

The ESG has always believed in taking local action for a global impact and signing up to Clean up the World, back in 2005, provided us with such a goal when annually, millions around the world clean/green up and protect their environment.

This year, the Clean-up will take place on the 20th September and we invite those interested in helping to please register at email esg@gibtelecom.net.

The group is also hopeful of the opportunity the Treaty can give to tackle significant, regional environmental issues together with like-minded NGOs in Gibraltar and Spain, as we have done in the past.
